Family orientated 'slow' bike ride from Altrincham to Lymm & back (text copied from the EventBrite link).
Professional and experienced, ride leaders from The Bicycle Society and Stamford Cycle Co, will escort the group along quiet paths to the Trans Pennine Trail and back, via the grans union canal.
The Bicycle Society and Stamford Cycle Co will bring all tools required for everyone to enjoy the ride!
The ride will be a slow, gentle pace designed to cater for the slower riders. The route is 10 miles, however with regular stops and a slow pace, it will feel a lot easier.
The ride will enjoy the countryside that is so close to Altrincham Town Centre!
The route is very flat, with low levels of traffic. All attendees must be able to cycle independently.
Ride leaders will do the majority of communication with cars and lead the way. However all organisers accept no liability to theft, damage, loss of property or injury to participants during the ride. You will be ultimately responsible for yourselves and your children.
If a bike brakes along the way, Stamford Cycle Co will be on hand to repair or replace items. There might be a cost depending on what needs fixing!
You will need:
- Road worthy bike, pumped up tyres and working brakes.
- Snacks and water for regular stops.
Bikes will checked before departure, however there won’t have time to fix all issues, so please make sure the tyres are pumped up and the brakes work!
The Bicycle Society and Stamford Cycle Co will do a ride briefing before setting off, and answer any questions, preparing everyone for a nice, easy and flat country side ride!
If you have any questions, or to see if you are suitable for the ride please use the contact details at the eventbrite link
