LEAF (Lymm Environmental Action Forum) AGM
The inaugural AGM for LEAF will be held at the Lymm Business Centre at 7.30pm 27th Sept. Join in to help set the group’s Agenda of events for the next 12 months! In addition to voting in the new committee, we will be planning more interactive and informative events: all aimed at helping Lymm reduce its carbon footprint.
Projects in the pipeline include:
1. Helping people identify areas of heat loss in their home with use of a thermal imaging camera. This forms part of LEAF’s ongoing commitment to help residents cut down on energy consumption (& the associated cost). We will undertake basic surveys of people’s homes to identify areas where heat is escaping & provide advice on possible solutions. This is in conjunction with the energy saving advice session that we run twice a year, in conjunction with Low Carbon Lymm.

2. Working with Lymm Library on a new Climate Emergency display, including investing in additional resources which Lymm residents will be able to use.
3. Running an event on ethical/green banking, pension funds and investments, along with highlighting the impact of intentional buying habits with help from the Make My Money Matter Organisation started by Richard Curtis. We are hoping to run this in October.
