Lymm PCSO contact

There's some uncertainty about how to contact Lymm PCSO (Police Community Support Officer).

As at autumn 2024, Lymm has no dedicated PCSO, but does receive coverage from a fabulous PCSO from one of the neighbouring areas.

Local police details (names are out of date as at late October 2024) https://www.cheshire.police.uk/area/your-area/cheshire/warrington/lymm/

The PCSO’s are great, but not able to work 24/7. To contact, it's best to dial 101 & ask for a message to be passed on / a call back, or report online as below.

If it's an emergency you should not be looking at this web page. Dial 999 now.

Other contact options are:

Surgeries

Lymm PCSO does hold regular 'surgeries', in person typically at either Lymm Community Centre (the top section, next to the canal) or Lymm Library, and 'virtually'. As at autumn 2024, these are virtual only - either monitor @lymmpol on Facebook, or sign up at Cheshire Police Alert

For the virtual sessions, you can contact the PCSO via Facebook Messenger (Lymm Police) if you use Facebook, the Twitter (/X) account has been removed. These virtual surgeries require Facebook Messenger are often announced at very short notice (1-2 hours).

PCSO funding

Until April 2024, Lymm Parish Council funded or part funded a second PCSO, resulting in two PCSO's being allocated to the Parish. Funding decisions have reduced this down to a single PCSO, with visibility & availability now far more shift dependent.

During the summer of 2024, the other PCSO for Lymm resigned, leaving Lymm without PCSO cover - neighbouring (Warrington) Parish PCSO's cover when capacity permits; contact details remain the same.

Parish Council

The local PCSO try attend the monthly Lymm Parish Council meetings (normally scheduled on the second Tuesday of the month) as part of their community engagement - this can be a good time to grab them either immediately before, or as part of a question to Lymm Parish Council (e.g. at 19:30hrs prompt). PCSO attendance is not 100% due to shift rotations / commitments..

If you are struggling to reach / contact the PCSO for whatever reason, then contact one of the Lymm Parish Council Councillors, who should be able to contact the PCSO directly
