Please note this is typically an informal gathering, whilst lovely to visit please plan around limited parking (& you really, really don't want to park in the way of a traction engine!), weather & last minute changes.
The 2022 and 2023 events went ahead, meeting at the JT from mid morning (bacon butties, tea & coffee were served impromtu by the JT!).
The 2024 event will skip the Wheatsheaf (re-opening in January 2025), and go straight to the Olde No. 3, then possibly to the Barn Owl…
The 2020 event was cancelled, the 2021 event was not 'official', but a small number of steam engines + tractors & classic cars started at the Jolly Thresher from midday - followed by the Wheatsheaf etc.
A top tip is to book lunch at one of the pubs to have somewhere to warm up - please, please support the pubs - ideally by booking a table / purchasing food or getting hot drinks.
Annual Tom Barlow Boxing Day Run with Steam Engines and historic vehicles typically starting at the Jolly Thresher, progressing to the Wheatsheaf, Olde No.3 & possibly the Barn Owl though this is a guide / aspiration rather than a schedule.
