The Wheatsheaf has been temporarily closed since July 2024, and is due to re-open under a popular and experienced managment team, formerly from the Pickering Arms in Thelwall.
November 2024: "Some of you may remember Jim and I from the Pickering arms in Thelwall, we managed the Pick successfully for 7 years. We left the Pick three and a half years ago and we have decided to move back to familiar grounds.

The Wheatsheaf had a refurbishment that completed in April 2022
